Best 100 Series LX470 Lift Kit

After building and selling a lot of 100 Series Land Cruisers and LX 470s, our favorite setup is simple: a 2 inch Dobinsons lift, a front differential drop, and 33 inch BFGoodrich KO3 all-terrain tires. It's affordable, it looks great, and it turns a stock 100 Series into a seriously capable trail rig without making it too big for daily driving.

Why a 2 Inch Dobinsons Lift?

• Right-sized lift: 2 inches gives you real clearance and room for 33s while keeping the factory ride quality and highway manners.
• Quality suspension: Dobinsons springs and shocks are built for heavy, loaded 4x4s like the Land Cruiser, so the truck rides firm and controlled on the road and the trail.
• No new control arms needed: at this lift height you can keep the factory control arms, which keeps the build simple and the cost down.

Why Add a Front Differential Drop?

The 100 Series and LX 470 use independent front suspension, so lifting the truck changes the angle of the front axles (CV shafts). A front differential drop lowers the diff to bring those angles back closer to stock. That reduces stress on the front axles and boots, so they last longer and the truck stays reliable after the lift.

33 Inch BFG KO3s: The Perfect Tire Size

A 33 inch BFGoodrich KO3 all-terrain fills the wheel wells without going overboard. It adds ground clearance and traction, rides well on the highway, and doesn't need major trimming or re-gearing like bigger tires do.
